iptable based firewall configurations

Hi
I am very new to linux iptable based firewall configuration .Our company is a big oraganisation which wants to implent Linux based Fireall in a IBM server. Our network having one global ip address with lease line and our local network having all mail, proxy and interanet server ( all inside our lan)
we want to put firewall(Standalone) between LAN and WAN.

so pl do necessary help in this regard.

Hoping for quick response as it is most important for me as well as our organisation

If you don't have a person with Linux experience, it may be a good idea to start with a specialized distribution. For firewall Smoothwall is a good choice. It's easy to use and will only require a person with network knowledge to configure all settings (all done in graphical mode).
