IPSec testing

Hi
I am trying to implement host to host IPSec VPN connection between two Centos 5.5 systems. I followed the instructions in http://www.centos.org/docs/5/html/De...US/ch-vpn.html.
After that I tried to input the IP address of one host in the URL address bar of the second host's browser, but I get the "cannot connect..." error. I searched various sites but could not get any help. How do I actually implement and test host to host IPSec VPN connection?.

ping is normally a good place to start. Make sure that your filters allow icmp then ping between the hosts. Putting the remote hosts ip address in your browser would only work of you have remote host configured as a web server, whereas ping is built into the IP stack.
