IPNODES support on linux

Hello,

I am in the process of setting up a dual stack ( ipv4 & ipv6 ) hosts for a development tests. For hostname resolution the plan was to use NIS.

The problem is Linux NIS clients don't recognize the ipnodes NIS maps.

Is there anyway to configure linux client to lookup ipnodes nis map or it is not support at all

Any help is really appreciated

Thanks

Found this on Google...

http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/ai...her/index.html

See "Setting up the NIS server" specifying file types..
