ipchains startup script (RH v.6.1)

Hello,
I'm a newb in admining a linux server. I am reviving an older distro (red hat v.6.1). I'm trying to get rid of old IPFW rules that were put there by someone else way back when. I used ipchains -F which got rid of all the rules. However, when I restart, they all come back.

I am guessing there is a startup script somewhere. Can anyone tell me where/how to look for this so that I can get rid of those rules.?

TIA,
Donovan

In the same place as later distros..
/etc/init.d

There are links to /etc/rc.d/rc~.d for startup control..

All the documentation is online at RedHat..

Thanks Peter!.. or Robb... or?

For the record..

The firewall script was at:
/etc/rc.d/init.d/firewall

a quick vi to comment things out worked for access.

Now I'm sure it will be a journey of trying to understand what restrictions *should* be in place. ;-)
