not sure what you really mean by this... maybe ntop is the tool for you.

thanks acid_kewpie,

i try to use this but there are some problem while installing it on fedora 6 and rhel 5,

when i try it on fedora 6 i am getting this error

"checking for pcap_lookupdev in -lpcap....no
*****FATA ERROR*****

it looks that you don't have the libpcap distribution installed. download, compile and optionally, install it.
when finished please re-run the program.
you can download the lated source tarball at http://www.tcpdump.org/
the LBL packet capture library, libpcap, was not found! "

so i checked using rpm , i am getting lipcap, and other libpcap packages installed on my system.
and also used yum

#yum install libpcap

Load "installonly" plugin
Existing lock /var/run/yum.pid: another copy is running. Aborting.

do u have any idea , what is the problem.

thanks

why install from source at all? http://dries.ulyssis.org/rpm/packages/ntop/info.html

as for the second error... you've alreayd got yum running, maybe via pirut or yumex>
