IP Forwarding on a VMware linux machine

Is it possible to set up a VMware linux machine to do IP Forwarding when only one network card is connected to the host that VMware is running on? I want to set up another VMware machine to be on another network and have the linux VMware do the IPforwarding. I've seen it set up before, but I don't know if the host running VMware had 2 network interfaces or one. Would this be possible if I set the loopback interface to an IP address in the other network?

Its possible if your host machine has a virtual VMware NIC card.you can then set your host machine to have a different network address eg 172.16.0.1 and then have your linux vmmachine to be on eg 192.168.0.1 you can then set up other machines to be on the 192.168.0.1/24 network then they can get their requests forwarded to your host computer's network 172.16.0.1 by setting your linux vmmachine as the default gateway and enabling forwarding of packets.
