IP Forwarding

Hi
i hv configured a RHEL 5 machine as Gateway for two networks ( 192.168.0.0 & 10.0.0.0 ) in the LAN. Later i disabled ip forwarding in the Linux box n still the systems in the two network were able to communicate. Wat is causing the problem? Do i need to clear any network cache?

Regards
Manoj

HI,

you have to restart the server or has to use sysctl -p command to take effect.

Even after executing sysctl -p, connection is available betweeen the two networks.
