IP block list

I am an instructor at a high school. I need to be able to put a content filter in place so the kiddies can't go to places they shouldn't .
Is there a list of IPs already compiled that I could use, or is it done a different way? Do you "look" at each packet to find key words and such? ( does not work to well in email rules since they spell things like s*ck, su*k etc )

Any help would be greatly appre.....

I googled for an answer and found this web page which may be helpful - Safe and Clean Web Surfing

The squidguard program may include such a compiled list. The author set up a linux box as the gateway - NAT - DHCP server which would perform the blocking. Access to the internet is through this box.

I double checked the page and followed the squid guard link. You can download a blacklist for pornsites that contains over 100,000 entries.
