Question ip address question ?

ok... i found some thing :

see the following:

[root@newinst network-scripts]# more ifcfg-eth0
DEVICE=eth0
ONBOOT=yes
BOOTPROTO=static
IPADDR=72.232.47.66
NETMASK=255.255.255.248

GATEWAY=72.232.47.65

so if it means that ip address is already allocated to the server then why cant i ping the server from rest three ip addresses ?

Code:
72.232.47.64	Subnet Address
72.232.47.65
72.232.47.66
72.232.47.67
72.232.47.68
72.232.47.69
72.232.47.70
72.232.47.71	Broadcast Address
65-70 should all be hosts in that subnet..

is there a firewall enabled ? iptables -L
