Intranet on RH Linux 7.2

I am a newbie, so be gentle... lol :-D

I have RH Linux 7.2 running on an I686, basically, I want to use it as an intranet machine, I cannot access the X windows system due to an apparent problem with my video card, but I have tried several machines now and it seems like a problem with my distribution.

I would like to be able to access the machine (contents of the disk) over the network via Windows, so I can upload Tar packages, and set this system up as an intranet pc.

Anyone have any ideas? I also have an ASP linux system running on an I386, it runs well, works no problem with the video card.

I have done some searching around about Intranets and it appears that Apache and HTTPD are the best way to go, whats my best way of installing?

Thanks all, appreciate your time reading :-D

About:"I would like to be able to access the machine (contents of the disk) over the network via Windows, so I can upload Tar packages, and set this system up as an intranet pc."

You can try SAMBA server. It is easy to insall and config.
