Try replacing from "[Web]" down with:
Code:
[www]
	comment = Web stuff
	path = /var/www
	writeable = yes
	valid users = alimharji
Obviously replace "alimharji" with the name of your samba user if it is different.

What did you enter in the windows box? "\\192.168.1.4\www"?

Can you access your home shares ok?

i can get in from my XP box
i mount to //192.168.1.4/var/www
i say login as different user adn put the username and password that i set up in samba
then it asks me from the pass and i put it in but then it pops up another box and now in the user name is says 192.168.1.4/alim
then asks for the pass and i type it in but it keeps coming up with this box
i am sure that the user name and pass are right but i dont no what to do?
any sugestions
