internet sharing ipv6

i want to share internet using squid,dns,dhcp,iptables.
using ipv6
i have public ip on eth0, where as i am using private ip address on eth1 {10.0.0.0/8}.
i want to migrate lan ipv4 to lan ipv6, while running
ipv4 on external interface.

some ports are currently nated using iptables.
like pop3,smtp,yahoo,netmeeting,ftp,blah,blah..

i thinks i should use ipv6 site local addresses,
but

do i nat ipv6 to run above applications and ports ?

whats 6to4 ?

thnaks

to nat you need a protocol called NAT-PT (RFC 2766)

i believe 6to4 is refering to NAT-PT

you can actually keep your internal network address the same, ipv6 is backwords compatible, for instance 10.10.0.1 in ipv4 would be 0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:10.10.0.1 or ::10.10.0.1.
Since ipv6 isn't very easy to set up, i'd recommend a large testing environment. I've never merged or migrated to an ipv6 network. I just happend to be reading about it.
