i have got an adsl moden connected to this computer which is windows xp pro. i am trying to get it, so it shares the internet with my red hat 9 computer. i have got them networked but i cant seem to share the internet.
Set ICS ( Internet Connection Sharing ) in your XP Pro - by double clik your adsl or PPPoE icon in Internet / Network Connection . This will give u a default ip for Xp System - 192.168.0.1 .
At your redhat machine - sert your ISP name server in /etc/resolv.conf
search isp
domain isp
nameserver isp ip.
then set your route default table...
# route add default gw 192.168.0.1
