I have computer 1 with 2 nics.
nic 1 is connected to the cable modem.
nic 2 is connected to the hub. nic 2 has an ip of 192.168.0.1. computer 1 can browse the INTERNET.
Computer 2 has one nic connected to the hub. it has an ip of 192.168.0.2.
Here is where I am lost. I have set the gateway of computer 2 to 192.168.0.1. Computer 2 can ping its own nic. computer 2 can ping the default gateway 192.168.0.1. Computer 1 can ping the computer 2's nic (192.168.0.2).
In short they can ping each other but computer 2 cannot access the INTERNET through comnputer 1. How would i fix this? I don't know what else to post so let me know and it will get up here.
Ok. I make the script. make the script an executable. make the script run on boot. Then since I have allrdy set up the gateway etc I wont need to do anything else? The script will handle it? If this is an incorrect assumption pls let me know a bit new to networking in linux.
