Internet Connection Sharing / Routing in Linux

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if, in a home network, it was possible to have a machine running Linux with two NICs, one NIC with an automatically assigned internal IP (assigned by the network gateway), and the other NIC sharing that machine's connection to the network through the first NIC with any machine that plugs into that second NIC (quite confusing, i know..)

Here is how my home network is laid out:

My network gateway machine is running Windows XP, and has two ethernet cards using ICS. One card receives an IP address from my DSL modem, the other faces my home network with the internal IP adress 192.168.0.1. I then have an ethernet switch hooked up to the network card facing the network. Then I have a wireless access point hooked up that ethernet switch.
In another room I have two computers, and another ethernet switch. One computer is running Debian and has a fully-functioning wireless adapter, as well as an ethernet port. The second computer has only an ethernet port.

What I would like to do is have the first computer (with the wireless adapter) share its connection with the second computer by having the first computer receive its own IP wirelessly, then have the ethernet switch connected to the ethernet port on the wireless computer, and then have the second computer connected to that ethernet switch.

Sorry if this explanation was too confusing; does anyone know if this is possible? I basically want to convert my wireless network back into a wired network, just in the other room.

Thanks in advance,
NirJ

Uhhh... yes. The dual-homed machine is to connect the two nics (wireless and wired) as a bridge.
