internet connection sharing

Thanks in advance.

I have a wireless network in my home consisting of 4 computers, one for each member of my family. The IP scheme on the wireless network is 172.168.0.x

From here on, I will refer to my main computer as 'my big computer'. I then have an older computer (not on the wireless network). I will refer to this as 'my little computer'. I have connected my big computer and my little computer with a crossover cable in order to network the 2 of them. I assigned my big computer an IP address of 192.168.0.1 and my little computer an IP address of 192.168.0.2...

Now my little computer acts as if its on the wireless network (it can access all shared files on the wireless network) and its only connection is the crossover cable to my big computer. The problem is that i want to be able to access the internet from my little computer, which i cannot due. I am running debian linux. I would apreciate any help. This may sound confusing, so you can ask me questions if needed.

Thanks.

ok...i have narrowed the problem down a little....from my little computer, I can fully access the internet but only if i type the actual IP address of the site....instead of typing www.google.com i have to type 64.233.161.147

i guess i dont have a dns server specified....
