Internet connection disappears on restart

OK, here is the situation. The internet is working normally on cold boot, but when I restart the connection fails for some reason. No ip is assigned so I thought it may be something with the dhcp, but I don't know.

One thing I came across as a possible solution was to make the ethernet card start on hotplug, instead of on boot, but this didn't help.

I'm not sure what information I should provide you, but as soon as you tell me I'll do. What I can say now is that, I'm running openSUSE 10.0 with KDE 3.4 on a Toshiba Satellite laptop. I got cable internet at home going through a router (sweex).

Thank you.
