Internet access woes

Greetings: I installed F-19 x86_64 from iso on my AMD FX-8 Core processor desktop. When I boot into the system I receive the following error message: "Networking interface - Connection enp5s0 failed" Can anyone help me understand this error message and help me to enable my internet connection configuration. Thanks.

Here's are some suggestions
1. check your log files for detailed info

(/var/log/messages and /var/log/boot.log)

2. check out all available interfaces

Quote:

# ifconfig
# ip addr

3. if the device in question appears in the above list, check that file.
it should be located at /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts

If you still cannot figure out the issue from the above steps please post the correlating information from each command

Greetings: I have tried so many things trouble-shooting tips and You Tube tutorials. Finally, on a hunch I plugged in an ethernet card I had been using on a previous system. I got internet access immediately and downloaded and installed 350 updates. So, I believe I'm good to go. Thanks for your assistance.
