Installing wireless network card problem

Im using a linksys wireless-g pci adapter WMPS4G with redhat ent 5.1. It doesnt see the card automatically and reading around it seems im suppose to install 2007_1210_RT61_Linux_STA_v1.1.2.0.tar.bz2. When I run the configure i get this error

-------------------- Ralink RT61 Station Configuration --------------------

Linux kernel source directory [/usr/src/linux-2.6.18-53.el5]:

Linux source tree '/usr/src/linux-2.6.18-53.el5' is incomplete or missing!

Configuration failed

--
Not sure exactly what to do next, any help would be appreciated.

Will updating of your kernel not solve the problem?

I had similar phenomens with Fedora8 and USB-nic.
I updated the kernel to last version 2.6.24.3-34 and later, and I have no more problems.

You just need to install the linux kernel sources and header files. You probably need to install the packages linux-source-2.6.18 and linux-headers-2.6.18-53 or something like that (depends on your distro).

These files are needed to compile the driver.
