Installing NFS on Redhat 9

Hi,
i got an red hat 9 file server connected with a gigabit card to 2 Windows XP clients but transfer perfomance is not good with Samba file sharing, only about 14 Mb /sec. Tests wIth FTP revealed that 60 mb are possibly.

So I want to use NFS for filesharing with the 2 WXP clients:

Anyone know how to set it up, an installation guide?

How to configure the clients?

setting up NFS is so so easy on the server. just add what every you want to /etc/exports and restart NFS, see "man exports" for details. as for clientside, that's a whole different thing, and you'll need to find a windows NFS client, which aren't exactly plentiful, certainly not free ones at that. I've not tried it but i would sadly have to suggest using M$'s own unix services pack, from their download site, which adds a lot of unix related networking stuff to most versinos of windows. also check the NFS howto at tldp.org
