Unhappy installing motorolla sm56 internal modem

please help me in installing and configuring sm 56 modem in redhat 7.1

hi garorag ,

if its a WinModem than sorry but it wont work with Linux as this are the kinds of modem whose functionality(H/W based) are migrated to software based drivers ask the manufacturer if he has Linux based drivers for it ( i doubr if he has it !)

I got a sm56 driver from

it is in rpm format.
