This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

I'm trying to load GNS3(Router emulation software) on to a CentOS to test out NetFlow. The only online tutorial I found was for ubuntu and it doesn't seem to be working. Does anyone have a link to a CentOS tutorial(I figured they would be the same) or can someone explain how to properly install it? Thanks
Can anyone help me how to install GNS3 on FedoraCore 4 or Fedora core 6 or on Cents OS 5......
I still being newbie, i dont know to install GNS 3 even after reading the suggestions in this forum.......
Can anyone give me a guide for step by step instalation like giving guide for a layman..........
have you considered using the stand alone linux executible dynamips without the GNS3 gui, its a possible option as long as youre not afraid to use the CLI to start and connect your virt routers. just downloadd and run it no compiling and your router console by default is the terminal window you started it in.
What i do i keep a txt document on my desktop. inside is like a 4 line long linux command to properly start the router, set its instance number, ram, and bind certain interfaces to real linux ethernet devs or with udp thru local host to other VM instances. ive got 20 something of them in my script and run on my quad core very easily.
I tried doing the way suggested in the above post and download file "qt-x11-opensource-src-4.4.1.tar.gz" from http://wftp.tu-chemnitz.de/pub/Qt/qt...c-4.4.1.tar.gz and followed the guidance and next executed the command "./configure -nomake examples -nomake demos -qt-gif -no-exceptions -debug -qt3support" which executed without any error.
But when i run the next provided command "gmake" the command never completed its execution and i was watching it for more than 5-6 hours, but the command didn't complete its execution and was still going on and on........i went sick and shut down my computer.......I wounder why the command gmake kept on continuing execution and didn't stop even after 5-6 hours of execution....however there were no error shown...........
Hope you get some idea to help me out, i didnt these things on CentsOS 5.
