Please.................will somebody help me? as i want to use it as a replacement for NIS,I just want
ldap server to be a central userlogin base like what i did with NIS server here:

It's not that hard that you couldn't try for yourself. Get your hands on with these.
Start with these,
LDAP Howto, LDAP Implementation Howto
And remember always, there are lots of people who have done this. So look for them in Google Linux Search. Dont forget TLDP. You'll need these keywords usually LDAP, nsswitch, PAM, NSS
Check OpenLDAP.org also.

Can be done. For now check this out.
Unite your Linux and Active Directory authentication
Also use Google Linux Search.
(You would not get complete AD functionality. If you want a real cross platform directory service try Novell's eDirectory)
