Information on Tunneling through HTTP for SSH
LQ,
I'm currently on a network that is fairly strict. I have access to the internet through a transparent proxy server (squid) on a firewall. However, squid is not always enabled as almost all other users are restricted to using a proxy server that sits parallel on the network for web traffic. What I want to do is access (SSH) my home computer network while I'm here at work. I can configure and setup anything needed on my home system, but I'm limited to what I can do here as far as installing 3rd party software etc... I think tunneling is what I'm going to want to do, but I'm not sure. If someone could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. Thanks, Jason Bush |
Have you tried setting up your SSH server on port 80 or port 443?
