Information on Tunneling through HTTP for SSH

LQ,

I'm currently on a network that is fairly strict. I have access to the internet through a transparent proxy server (squid) on a firewall. However, squid is not always enabled as almost all other users are restricted to using a proxy server that sits parallel on the network for web traffic.

What I want to do is access (SSH) my home computer network while I'm here at work. I can configure and setup anything needed on my home system, but I'm limited to what I can do here as far as installing 3rd party software etc...

I think tunneling is what I'm going to want to do, but I'm not sure. If someone could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,
Jason Bush

Have you tried setting up your SSH server on port 80 or port 443?
