In-Home Proxy Server with Filtering and Blocking System
 

Hello Fellows,

I'd like to install a Linux server at home that act as a Proxy server with anti-porn..etc blocking system.

The server will be located right after the main DSL Modem (Gateway).
The DSL Modem, is also a router with DHCP.

Any suggestions for such a solution?

Might try a untangle linux distro. More than a few others have good tools for just such a thing.

As your familiar with CentOS wouldn't squid to the job?

See the few hundred virtual appliances at VMware. Many are VM's based on distros. I don't even know all the names. Vyatta maybe and many of the router distros.
