ifconfig /all has error??

yum nightly update apparently automatically installed a new kernel version for me..but im using the 16kstack older kernel which i like to keep and had cause me problems...i uninstall the new kernel version, boot back to my 16stack kernel... when i run this command ifconfig /all this is the error:

# ifconfig /all
/all: error fetching interface information: Device not found

but running ifconfig eth0 or ifconfig wlan0 works fine....anyone got ideas how to fix this and why ifconfig /all doesnt work anymore? thanks!

see "$man ifconfig" and "$ifconfig -h"
and type "$ifconfig -a" for all interfaces.

options usually start with a single (or double for longer ones) "-" (minus).
