icmpquery: Unknown ICMP message received (type 13)

when i try to send a timestand ICMP packet to myself (under root) i get following:

# icmpquery -t 127.0.0.1
Unknown ICMP message received (type 13)

i think it means that i need some libs or some configuration file, i compiled icmpquery myself from source code and i just moved the binary to /bin/ to make it all-around executable.
i am new to linux so please explain in detail. thanks a bunch!
