I need ur help:kppp problem RH9


hi guys

i am using RH9 and my modem is pctel

I compiled new kernel from existing kernel 2.4.20-8

After tht my modem is detected correctly

after dialing an error message displayed like this

Feb 26 14:30:25 localhost pppd[1369]: pppd 2.4.1 started by root, uid 0
Feb 26 14:30:25 localhost pppd[1369]: Couldn't set tty to PPP discipline: Invalid argument
Feb 26 14:30:25 localhost pppd[1369]: Exit.

wht is the problem

is it the problem of modules?if yes,plz giv me which all modules are needed..
