I need help networking a linux box to a win98 box...

I need help networking together a linux box (server) to a win98 box... i have a nic card (ethernet) in each one and they are connected with a crossover cable (cat5) with rj45 connectors. When using win2k or win98 i dont have a problem getting them to network together but with linux as the server i am not able to see the win98 box in linux at all.

i am running suse 7.0, the nic is detected in linux and supported, the other box is win98 first edition (blechch!) i must be able to get this done! any help would be greatly appreciated...

also, any tips on internet connection sharing the two would be a real bonus!

thnx!!!!!
