Unhappy I am connected to the internet but my linux says that I am not...

Guis I have a problem on any linux when I try to connect to the internet. When I boot live linux I connect to the internet(PPPOE) with this command: sudo pppoeconf then I run this command: sudo pon dsl-provider.I can use the browser,I can use the Software Center,I can use terminal to download packages...but Linux keeps saying that I am not Connected and when I try to install linux from live boot I can't chose to install updates while install and it take 1mil years to install updates after installation.
Can you help me?

Welcome to LXQ! This sounds like a cosmetic problem from your description. If you're connected you're connected! I'm not a Zorun user, but perhaps this is a NetworkManager status message, and since you're connecting via a terminal with 'pppoeconf' command, NM is unaware of the PPPoE connection. You might just be best to disable/stop the NM front-end if it bothers you. Alternatively, you might be able to create a DSL connection using NM connection editor, so that it can connect you using the graphical UI instead.

Anyway, this might help others to get a clearer picture about your internet connection...
Code:
/sbin/ifconfig

no problem there.
it isn't broken, don't try to fix it!

the installer can usually only deal with wired connections, so no surprises there.
installing updates after the install does not take longer.
there is no problem.
