Question I've tried everything I know of which isn't a great deal........

but I have a CNet external 56kbps serial modem. I have a new Amd 64 computer I built and installed Mandrake 10.1 on that computer. Everything seems to be recognised, but when I try connecting it to the internet, I get the "modem is busy". What should I do? I've read the manual bits, but there's a great deal it doesn't mention.

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
