HSF and HCF modems.

hey all! I recentally put mandrake 8.1 on my newer computer as a dual boot setup. I am using 2 a "win modem" and a "controllerless" modem to connect to the internet (high-speed is not available in my area).. now they are both AOpen cards both FM-56 cards, one being an SVV the other being a DX. what do I need to get these working under mandrake 8.1, and which one can I use to connect? ( I understand there is a possibility of only one working).. also how would I setup load balancing?

thankyou..

According to the AOpen manuals, fm56-svv has the Conexant CX11252-11 chipset. This is the best thing I could find: https://www.linuxant.com/drivers/.

I couldn't find anything about fm56-dx.

If you have the modems in a computer:

/sbin/lspci -v

will help identify the chipsets of the modems (if they're PCI).

bah! not freeware! ;) I really would like freeware drivers for my modem.. somthing better than 14.4 would be nice too! I guess my DX is the one that dosnt work.. someone said somthing somewhere about modem drivbers that turned out to be universal for the HCF modems? but appearentally you needed a wrapper and what not.. I cant seem to find those drivers.. the company who was offering them (or the wrapper) has taken them down I guess.. anyone know what I am talking about and know of mirrors I can get the files from?

thankyou..
