HP Laserjet 2300 dn printer (Internet Printer) keeps on printing multiple copies
HP Laserjet 2300 dn printer is connected as a network printer on (through Ethernet connection). The problem is as follows:
It keeps on printing multiple copies of the first page, N (not counted, may be countably infinite) number of times. More clearly, if I give command to print a single page (1 copy) then also, it keeps on printing it too many times. If I give a multipage document print command (say, all pages) then also, it keeps on printing the FIRST page too many times.
My current OS is Debian (lanny). Following observations are relevant and interesting too:
1> On the same machine, Windows XP works fine with the same printer.
2> Presently the machine has Debian (lanny), Earlier on the same drive I had Ubuntu 8.04, which I formatted and installed Debian. It is surprizing (at least for me) that the SAME problem was there in the previous Ubuntu system too. And it has remembered its behavior in its Rebirth (though it is now 'named' Debian). !!!
I tried to search, but found that such a problem is not posted any where. It's really challenging. Any Suggestions are appreciated ....
