How to verify Email has been retrieved?

Hey guys,

Is there a log somewhere that tells me if a user has retrieved a email from the server (downloaded the email to their inbox by POP3)?
I need to know if a user has read the email or not.

Cheers~

That is what a "read receipt" is for.
