How to use Netstat to track what Chrome is doing

Hello,
I heard that Chrome sends the URL of every site you visit back to Google HQ. My question is, can Netstat be used to track this? I think it will make a socket with a random local port, but a specific destination IP address and port (something.google.com, port 80). So - how do I do it?

thx.

There are pretty much configuration options in Chrome Options (under the bonnet).
The more you disable, the less will be sent to Google.
But what's the point, if most of your surfing is anyway tracked by google analytics scripts on the sites?

Try this (as root):
Code:
netstat -pt | grep chrome

You can disable Google Analytics in your hosts file.

127.0.0.1 ssl.google-analytics.com
127.0.0.1 www.google-analytics.com
127.0.0.1 google-analytics.com

Netstat gives you only IP addresses and no details. I'd rather opt for shoving all traffic through a proxy and check its logs or sniff packets.
