How to Tweak Linux IPv6 Networking Stack For Improved Performance
Hello,
I am working with a linux program that generates multiple IP 6 addresses on my network host devices and I am also trying to push network traffic from host to host as fast as I can using IPv6. My problem is it appears all my network IP 6 addresses are causing increased latency across the network.
If I do not run my program latency is about 1.0 ms from host to host. With my program running it is at least 2.0 ms. I also notice a lot of Multicast Listener Report Message v2 traffic being sent out. My main question is how can I tweak linux IPv6 parameters so I can get the best network performance possible? Can I turn off Multicast Listener? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe
