How to switch workspace on machine running vncviewer fullscreen?

How do you do this?
I have vncviewer running on my laptop fullscreen because I dont want to have to right click or left click to access the top or bottom of the vncviewer display. Making it run fullscreen gives me the convencience and feeling that I am actually on the remote (vncserver machine) machine. However, I cannot control my laptop workspaces. I want to know how I can move from workspace to workspace on my laptop with one workspace running fullscreen vncviewer or several workspaces running full screen vncviewers to several remote vncservers. . I can hit f8 and get the popup window but I have to kill vncviewer to get back control of my laptop os. There is a button for Ctrl Alt Del but I was wondering If I can change this to Ctrl Alt Right or whatever keyboard hotkey to switch workspaces. I have ximian deskto p 2. Thanks

Try:
Ctrl + F1
Ctrl + F2
Ctrl + F3
Ctrl + F4

The number is the number of the workspace.

It allows me to switch from workspace to workspace within the vncviewer session, not from workspace to workspace on the machine that launched vncviewer. The latter is what I need Thanks though

mmm - Maybe if you press F8 then try "Ctrl + F?" while the menu is up.

Doesn't do it either. On the popup menu, there is an option to "send F8" or "send Ctrl Alt Del". Where is this being sent? If it is being sent to the host running the vncviewer, then maybe there is a way to change it or add a "send Ctrl F1" or something like that.

There is something in man vncviewer regarding using X resources to customize the popup buttons but I have no idea how to do this, or even which file this should be written to.
