How to share info with the other computers?

Very basic two part question if somebody can help. I need to know how to find the HD on the other computers in the network? What I wanna do is to be able to save files to any HD from any computer and do the same for getting the files again.

Second part is how to have one printer hooked up to one computer but still be able to print off any of the three computers on the network? I assume by network that means any of the computers hooked up to the same router?

THANKS A LOT!!
Adam

PS Be as noob friendly as you can please...

You browse for it. Exactly how you accomplish this depends on the operating systems involved.

Okay, of my 76 posts more about half are helping other people. I can help in steps once (or as) I've passed those steps myself. I quit Windo$ cold turkey, one day had enough and was switching no matter what! Since I've figured out A TON on my own. I have an office, just researched and built 3 computers for it, need to incorporate and have to do all the looking into that ontop of needing to move and finish the house myself before I do.

I went with Mephis (deb based) because of the support but things don't work the same in all distros and that's what I figured would be the case here. If I'm wrong and my questions are Linux universal then just say so and I'll look it up.

Thanks a lot!
