How to setup service name in pppoe connection

Hi guys Iam using pppoe to connect to the internet in my dual boot system (XP, SuSE 9.0). The connection was fine on the two systems untill one day they both gave me an authanication error (password wrong etc). So I called my provider and he told me that they changed something in they systems and he told me how to adjust my XP system to meet the new configuration.
He told me the following:
Go to network connections
Right click on you pppoe connection, select properties
In the general tab enter "internet03" as a service name (it was empty before)

That solved the problem in WinXP

After that I rebooted in to SuSE and I wanted to try to do the same there, but I can not find a place where something like service name is to be entered "my connection name is "Gateway" and in XP it still is, the only thing changed was this service name in the general tab)

So, what do I have to change in my SuSE system to make it connect to the internet again ( it giving me propably wrong username pwd error)

in /etc/ppp/ you should have a file about your ppoe configuration, mine is named pppoe.conf, but from experience I know this file name tend to changfe all the time. To find out which one, try grep -n "SERVICENAME" *
Once you have it... change your service name (syntax is : SERVICENAME='internet03' )

try this

try pppoe -A , this will give u the list of access concentrators

if that doesnt work , try pppoe -C

try as su if u dont have priviledges

after that edit the /etc/ppp.conf file as per the changes
