How to set static ip address in slackware


i like to know how do i set a static ip address in slackware? i cant find any network manager to set up the ip address

to configure your network, or edit by hand the file /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf

/etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf dose a pretty good job of telling you where things go
if you need more help than that there's "man rc.inet1.conf
