How to see the bandwidth....get a value of throughput...


My objective is when the throughput is increase my shell script is Print a message....
But the Question is how to check the bandwidth..
Please Reply the solution....

Hello,

Have a look at this site. I'm looking into the same and don't like to install additional software. The site indicated explains how to use IPTABLES for bandwidth monitoring. Hope it helps.
