how to see if tor is working.

hi im playing around with tor and in the INSTALL file in the soure it says this.

Code:
7) make sure you've set it up correctly: go to
http://www.junkbusters.com/cgi-bin/privacy and see what IP it says
you're coming from. If it works, you should probably go on to step 8,
  to get better privacy.
im not possible what it means by "works" If it is working should it not show an ip? If it is working will it show an ip? Has anyone here used tor and know what they mean by "work"? Thanks for any replies in advance.

just read the page dude... what's to not understand?? "works" clearly relates to the success or not of whatever this is a part of, something you didn't even bother telling us.

If the IP address displayed there is not your IP address, then it is working. If it IS your IP, it is not working. Tor is supposed to hide your IP... so if your IP is visible...
