How to resolve base domain name using bind/named?

Hi,

I have my bind/named server (running on RH 9) correctly configured to resolve nodes within my domain. In other words the dns server resolves ping names for abc.xyz.com correctly. However, if I do a ping to xyz.com it fails.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you!

Misbah
