Question How to Remove IP MASQ

If my server was using IP MASQ and I now want to not use it, what do I need to do to get it to be a "normal" server?

I am assuming you are using iptables as you have stated your OS to be RH7.2 (in your profile).

You can

service iptables off

and make sure to use ntsysv and set either iptables not to start at boot.

The effect will be that your system will not have any filtering (firewall).
If you don't want this,

you will need to locate the MASQ entry and comment it out in your firewall script.

If you are using ipchains, replace the word iptables in this post to ipchains and read again.

u can also try to use this instead
iptables -F
this flushes all the firewall scripts
in the startup u can specify the same
hope this works
