How to reload/transfer all zones in bind9?

Hi All,

I've recently made a number of changes/clean-ups to pretty much all the zone files in our master dns.

I'm trying to find a way to call a refresh/reload/re-transfer of every zone on the secondary servers.

I know "rndc reload" can be used for a single zone, but doesn't seem to accept wildcards to 'blank' zone.

Does anyone know how to do this globally for the entire server?

Thanks
Anubis.

Wrong! "rndc reload" reloads all zone files that are changed.
To reload a single zone you should use "rndc reload zone"

Hi Bathory,

Thanks for the reply; turns out to be a "Doh!" moment probably due to a late night... forgot to set file permissions on the secondary so it couldn't update even if it wanted to.

Thanks.
Anubis.
