hmmm ... what is the ftp server you use ?

i assume you use vsftpd
edit /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf, make sure the following entries is
available:

write_enable=YES
anon_upload_enable=YES
anon_mkdir_write_enable=YES

hope this is what you need

if you and/or client log-in use anonymous
the files is placed in /var/ftp

to upload a files it may need to create a new
folder inside (eg: /var/ftp/upload) with rwx
permission for anyone (a.k.a chmod 777 /var/ftp/upload)

good luck
