Unhappy How to open port behind firewall


Hello

I have a problem sending of file attachment using Instant Messenger


i have a firewall using firestarter,

if i used outside firewall they can able to recieve my file in instant meesenger but if i used firestarter it always cancelled my sending of file attachment....



please help me

you first need to know which ports do you need. It depends on the program you are using. Or probably enable upnp if available in the firewall.
Or setup your firewall as a socks server and set it in your program configuration.

Never used firestarter so can't be more specific about its configuration.

the port i need to open is port 7777

That should be easy then. Just look at the UI for port forwarding or something talking about services/servers. Btw you will need your internal IP address static going this route.
