how to monitor dhcpd and nothing else

Hope this is the right section. I want to monitor my dhcpd server and see what happens basically, how many are connected and which ip they got from me. Is there any dhcpd specific log or something in that matter?

I don't run dhcpd but you should read the manpages.
Here are some links for you:
http://linux.die.net/man/8/dhcpd
http://linux.die.net/man/5/dhcpd.conf
that will explain what is logged, and where.

hi how are you? If you want to monitor your dhcp server than you have to create your own dhcp server after that you can see what happened in /var/log/messeges. After that you can which peoples in your network is hitting in your dhcpd server.you can see your specific dhcpd specific log in there /var/log/messeges.
