how to find nntp server on my network


i'm in my school network
and i'd like to know if there are nntp news server somewhere on the network
so i can use emacs gnus for reading news
i remember there's a command for demanding that(not nmap)
anyone can help ?

it's the command: dig
but still i dont know the options

Why not nmap? It's what you need.

Dig won't help you, it's for doing DNS queries (www.google.com->IP=x.y.z.t or opposite and other DNS stuffs)
