How to extract files from an rpm package

Hello friends,

 +

This time i wanted to extract all the files present in an rpm file without installing them.
Actually i have an rpm file which has a shell script which gets executed while installing. and in this shell script there are some correction to be made inorder to make it work with the distribution installed on my system

Thanks

I think you can do that using the --prefix and specify a directory it should build the tree in. But I don't really use rpm's so I'm not sure.

mc is a decent file manager shell for entering archive files.
